We've come a long way, Baby!

It was right after either the Dr. Kildare or Ben Casey TV program (can't remember which, now) on the 13th of August (a Monday evening, I believe), in 1962, that contractions started. Of course, since this was my first pregnancy and we were overly cautious and Grandma Sylvia drove me to the hospital, cautiously running a red light or two as a proper tribute to the event.

Once we arrived at the hospital they examined me and said it was "too early" and sent us back home, only to return later.

It is hard to imagine that the 6lb 10oz baby girl that was born at 10 something the next morning, now has a daughter of her own that is 3 years older than I was when I gave birth to her.

=====

How's that for a start? I just realized that I can "scan" pics from my photo albums and post them on the blog so you can forward the pics if you want.

My plan for this particular one was for it to be just you and I and see if it turns out to be easier than email.

Not totally sure how these things work. Had a friend from church kind of explain to me but I think I'll have to just find out as I go.
