Last Christmas a group of us from the church took Christmas Dinner to Fisher House (the military equivalent of Ronald McDonald House) at Tripler and I brought the keyboard, and Coreyanne played her flute and one of the other gals from church played her violin and we played Christmas Carols while the residents ate. There weren't many residents there on Christmas as most went out, but we had a good time. I made my first turkey in umpteen years. Turned out pretty good. I have made several since I found out it isn't that difficult.
Coreyanne and John go to our church. He is a Weapons Officer on a submarine. She and Coreyanne are both graduates of the Naval Academy, though she is no longer in the Navy. They have four kiddos with one more on the way. John will be leaving for Westpac soon and Coreyanne has a friend staying with her while he is gone to help her with the house and the kids.
Anyway, I will try adding a pic or two and see how it comes out. I am also planning to do a website for her on my Homestead account for her piping. She would like to do more teaching.
This is one of her with the pipe band. They performed that day at the park.
